Integrative Primary Care

Care that Considers the Whole Story

Your health does not happen in separate boxes.

At Orenda Health & Wellness, Integrative Primary Care brings routine care, prevention, chronic disease management, medication review, lab evaluation, lifestyle support, and specialist coordination together in one place.

We take time to understand what is happening, what may be contributing, and what is realistic for your life.

Bringing Care Back to Healthcare

Good primary care is more than completing a checklist.
It means knowing your history, reviewing what has changed, asking questions, following up on important findings, and understanding how your health fits into the life you live.

Sometimes the next step is medication. Sometimes it is additional testing, a specialist referral, a change in daily habits, or taking another look at something that has not been fully explained.

The goal is not to put every patient on the same path. It is to build a relationship that allows your care to change as your needs change.

How Your Care Comes Together

1.

Start With the Full Picture

We review your medical history, medications, previous diagnoses, current concerns, family history, lifestyle, and health goals.

2.

Review What We Know

Your provider may review previous records, order appropriate laboratory testing, or recommend additional evaluation.

3.

Build Your Plan

You and your provider discuss treatment, preventive care, lifestyle considerations, referrals, and appropriate next steps.

4.

Follow Up

Follow-up gives us an opportunity to review results, monitor progress, adjust treatment, and address new concerns.

Labs Should Lead to a Conversation

Lab results are most useful when someone takes the time to review what they mean in the context of your overall health.

When clinically appropriate, your provider may order testing before a wellness or follow-up appointment, so results can be reviewed together.

If something has changed over time, we want to recognize the pattern, discuss what it may mean, and determine what should happen next.

Primary Care While You're in Florida

If you divide your time between Florida and another state, you may not need to replace the doctors who already know you at home.

Orenda can help address your primary-care needs while you are in Florida and, when appropriate, coordinate with your established physicians.

Whether you need medication review, follow-up for ongoing conditions, lab work, or help with a new concern, our goal is to make continuity of care easier.

Flexible Care, Including Telehealth

Some primary care needs can be addressed through secure telehealth, while others require an in-person examination, testing, or procedure.

Our team can help determine the appropriate appointment type based on your needs.

Primary Care FAQs

What is a primary care provider and why do I need one?

A primary care provider is your main medical partner for most non‑emergency needs, including check‑ups, acute illnesses, chronic disease management, and preventive screenings. Having a primary care provider helps coordinate your care, track your health over time, and catch issues earlier so they can be treated more effectively.

What can I be seen for in a telehealth primary care visit?

Telehealth visits are appropriate for many concerns such as sinus infections, coughs and colds, rashes, uncomplicated UTIs, headaches, medication questions, and follow‑up for stable chronic conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and asthma. If your symptoms suggest something serious or require a physical exam or procedure, we will guide you to in‑person or emergency care.

What happens during a first primary care visit?

At your first visit, we review your medical history, medications, allergies, family history, lifestyle, and current concerns, then create or update your care plan. We may order labs and discuss appropriate screenings, and talk about next steps for follow‑up and prevention.

How often should I schedule primary care visits?

Most generally healthy adults benefit from at least one routine visit per year to review labs, update medications, and discuss preventive care. People with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, or mood disorders may need more frequent follow‑ups based on their treatment plan.

When should I go to urgent care instead of telehealth?

You should go to urgent care or the ER for severe chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of stroke, serious injuries, high fever with confusion, or any sudden, severe symptom that worries you. Telehealth is best for non‑emergency concerns where you are stable and able to safely be at home.
